Policy of Screening for Plagiarism

Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Inclusive Pedagogy is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published research. Every submitted manuscript undergoes a plagiarism screening as part of the initial editorial assessment before it proceeds to the peer-review process.

The journal uses reputable plagiarism detection software to evaluate the similarity of submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts are expected to demonstrate a high level of originality, and the overall similarity index must fall within the threshold established by the journal. Manuscripts with excessive similarity or evidence of plagiarism may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected prior to peer review.

The Journal of Inclusive Pedagogy does not tolerate any form of academic misconduct, including but not limited to:

• Plagiarism or unattributed copying of another person's work;

• Improper paraphrasing or insufficient acknowledgment of sources;

• Self-plagiarism or redundant/duplicate publication;

• Data fabrication or data falsification;

• Image manipulation or other forms of research misconduct.

If evidence of plagiarism or other ethical violations is identified at any stage of the editorial or publication process, the editorial office will investigate the matter in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Depending on the severity of the misconduct, appropriate actions may include manuscript rejection, publication of a correction, issuance of an expression of concern, or retraction of the published article.

Through this policy, the Journal of Inclusive Pedagogy seeks to ensure that every published article represents original, ethical, high-quality, and scientifically reliable research that contributes meaningfully to the advancement of inclusive education and related fields.
